A Queensland man has been savagely beaten during a terrifying home invasion.

Police say two intruders broke into the victim's house at Warwick, on the Southern Downs, about 1.30am on Monday.

The 31-year-old was beaten badly and taken to hospital with back, head and arm injuries.

Two men, aged 32 and 23, are due to face court on Tuesday charged with assault and entering a dwelling with intent.
