The UK has issued ecological alert after London suffered from a cloud of sand on April 2nd, the windborne sand that had been brought to the northern part of the country from the Sahara Desert.
Particles of sand and dust mixed up with warm air and penetrated the atmosphere in the form of precipitation.
The Department for Environment says the pollution level in the east and south of England has reached the maximum of 10.
According to the most unfavourable forecasts, the environmental hazard level will persist in the next few days.
Doctors have strongly advised elderly people, as well as those with heart or lung problems against exercising outdoors or leaving home if not necessary.
